They do work with a couple of caveats....they work better if you style your hair in a way that pins your hair around it. Don't try to use a bumpit in a free flowing hair style because they won't stay in. The mini bumpits are pretty much useless.

You can really do the same thing with alot of bobby pins, but for people that don't really know how to do it, the big ones work prety well if you work with them a little

I was disappointed in these. To be fair- I didn't tease my hair as much as the directions indicated. However, I have very thick hair and the prongs still showed. I tried pinning the sides up. My husband said that I looked like a "cone head." Then he said, "Not your best look."

I understand that most people don't read directions but they insert them for a reason. You do have to tease quite a bit to hide the teeth, but these are a great product and I agree this is for updo only! I use them when I don't have time to shampoo... a little hairspray and these bumpits save me everytime! (with compliments to boot!)
